If you are a Manitoba home or business-owner looking to convert to solar energy, now is the perfect time! Efficiency Manitoba is now offering rebates on solar systems for both homes and businesses that are connected to Manitoba Hydro’s grid.

The rebate is calculated at $0.50 per direct current (DC) watt installed with the maximum rebate amount varying depending on whether it is residential or commercial. Manitoba homeowners can expect a rebate of up to $5,000 on solar systems up to 10 kW, while business-owners can expect a rebate of up to $25,000 on solar systems up to a maximum of 50 kW.

In addition to receiving a rebate through Efficiency Manitoba, homeowners and residential systems can also take advantage of the $5,000 Greener Homes Grant as well as loan programs available through the Greener Homes initiative or Manitoba Hydro.
